Bayern Munich have officially ruled out pursuing Marcus Rashford, despite his successful loan spell at Barcelona.
As of early Tuesday, Bayern confirmed they have no plans to sign Rashford this summer. The news comes as Rashford continues to impress in La Liga.
Rashford is currently on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United. His loan deal will end at the conclusion of the season. Barcelona has an option to make this transfer permanent for €30 million (£26 million).
Within hours, reports indicated that Rashford has scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona. He has netted seven times in 28 La Liga matches.
Bayern Munich is prioritizing a move for Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon instead. This decision further solidifies their stance against pursuing Rashford.
Michael Carrick has left the door open for Rashford’s return to Manchester United. He stated, “There are decisions to be made on certain things, and Marcus is in that situation.” However, the final decision regarding Rashford’s future at Barcelona is still pending.
Fans await confirmation on whether Barcelona will trigger the option to sign Rashford permanently. For now, he continues to shine in Spain while his future remains uncertain.
