Quiz Clothing, a high street giant, has collapsed into administration for the third time in six years. As of early Tuesday, the company owes more than £40 million and faces potential store closures across its 40 stores in the UK.
At the point of administration, 109 redundancies were made at the Glasgow head office and distribution centre. Interpath Advisory was appointed as the administrator for Quiz Clothing in February 2026.
A stock clearance sale commenced immediately across all stores following the announcement. Gift cards and credit notes will not be honoured due to the administration.
The company’s debt includes £15.4 million owed to connected parties and £6.1 million to trade creditors for Orion Retail Limited. Zesta Ventures Limited is owed approximately £6 million by Quiz Clothing.
CEO Sheraz Ramzan stated, “The board took the difficult decision to appoint administrators to Zandra Retail Limited in light of the continuing challenging trading conditions impacting the Group’s performance.”
Officials have not confirmed an exact timeline for potential store closures. However, a decision regarding the fate of Quiz Clothing’s stores is expected within days.
The anticipated administration trading period could last until mid-May 2026. To date, no offers have been received for the company’s business on a going concern basis.
Quiz Clothing has been trading for 33 years, having been founded in Glasgow. The future remains uncertain as stakeholders assess next steps amid ongoing financial difficulties.
