A man was arrested for attempting to stab Jewish members of the public in Golders Green. This incident occurred early Tuesday, following a series of arson attacks targeting Jewish sites in north London.
Two people were stabbed during the attack. The suspect, armed with a knife, was apprehended shortly after the incident. The Jewish neighbourhood watch group Shomrim reported the attack.
The two victims received treatment from Hatzola, a Jewish volunteer ambulance service. Their conditions have not been disclosed yet.
Police are currently investigating a suspected arson attack at a memorial wall in Golders Green. This arson incident took place at 00:15 hours on Monday, April 27. Fortunately, the memorial wall sustained no damage.
Counter Terrorism Policing London is leading the investigation into this arson attack. As of midday, no arrests have been made in connection with that incident.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams is overseeing policing efforts in north west London. Residents have expressed concerns about safety due to these recent attacks.
Ali Vahedi, a local resident, commented on the situation: “Last week a drone was here, people come and throw things like tomatoes and now last night, after this fire happened, it is getting more dangerous.”
The Community Security Trust confirmed the knife attack and stated that security operations are being increased in response to these events.
